Help out a Great Local Theatre Company!

So for the last two summers, my days have been filled working with a wonderful company called ETC, the Educational Theatre Company. They run a host of summer camps and year-round programs which offer excellent opportunities for children of all ages to take part in the performing arts in Arlington and Falls Church. This year, they are taking part in the United Way’s Do More 24.

Do More 24 is a one-day, 24-hour fundraiser encouraging donors to give to charities in the Greater DC area. At 12:00am on June 26th, the campaign will begin, and will run until 11:59pm that night. In that span, ETC is trying to raise $3000 to help support our various programs throughout the year.

These programs range from from helping students at ESOL schools build confidence through their Mainstage Residency Programs to collaborating with the community through our Creative Age courses with various senior programs. As we gear up for our intense summer season, we’re looking at over a dozen different camps, ranging from one to two weeks, with students ranging from pre-K through high school.

They’re an excellent program with the central goal of Changing Lives through the Arts. If you’ve got time this Thursday, spread the word, and help this excellent Arlington based organization reach its goal of $3000.

Kickstarter’s here: http://kck.st/ULb8iX

So we’re just about to head into February, and Avalanche Theatre is rounding out our first month of Kickstarter fundraising with about $1600 out of the $10,000 we need to fund the season.

I would like to set a goal of $2000 per week raised for the Kickstarter, starting this week. I think we can do it.

Let’s do some simple math. 200 people giving $10 will get us there. 20 people giving $100 will get us there. 2000 people giving $1 will get us there.

There’s a safe mix as well. Whatever you can give, give at your ability. I am issuing my newest $2000 challenge. I think that together, we can definitely achieve that.

Thanks again for reading!

Avalanche Theatre $2000 Challenge

Uncategorized

Okay. You got me, internet people. I posted a $1000 fundraiser challenge for THIS WEEK at 5am this morning, and now we’re $57 bucks short of that goal. Fine. FIIINE.

I now throw down the gauntlet of a $2000 fundraising challenge by the end of the week. That’s 1/4 of the way through our Kickstarter goal, and 1/5 of the way through our overall reach goal.

Avalanche $1000 Challenge

Avalanche Theatre Company has just reached 10 backers on Kickstarter!

Logo 1.2

This kickstarter project is an omnibus fundraiser raising money for three shows.  The first show is A Bid to Save the World by Erin Marie Bergman!

The budget for this project is $1000!  Help us reach that goal this week, and help this story come to life:

In a world where death has stopped, three stories intertwine.

…Two scientists try to figure out how people used to die…

…A girl goes to speak to death itself…

…A librarian who catalogs death tries desperately to reconnect with the man she loved…

Also, due to the nature of kickstarter, you do earn great prizes when you help make great art. Just saying…
